CD Content ----------------- This CD includes the following features: 1) Digital copy of Bulletin 15 and its appendices in Portable Document Format (pdf), all figures in jpg or pdf format, and all 17 plates (maps) in PDF format. 2) Digital copy of Jeffrey Bond’s Bulletin 11 and associated maps as PDF files. 3) All related publications by the Yukon Geological Survey in PDF format including scientific papers from the Yukon Exploration and Geology (YEG) series and YGS Open Files. 4) All shapefiles of the bedrock and surficial maps. Shapefiles can be viewed or imported into more advanced commercial GIS products (ArcView 3.x, ArcMap 8.x, ArcGIS 9.x, Autocad, Autocad Map or Mapinfo). 5) Free software (Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 and ESRI ArcExplorer 2.0) for viewing publications and maps. Microsoft Access or Excel can be used to view the field databases or spreadsheets. The projection of all spatial data contained on this CD is the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinate system, NAD 83 datum, Zone 8. The CD runs on Windows 95 platforms and higher, and has been tested with Windows 98, 2000, NT and XP. Performance times for use of the program on this CD will depend on individual hardware components and memory availability. It is recommended that users copy all data onto a local hard drive for greater speed in accessing and displaying the data. Main Navigation Window ----------------------------------- There is an Autoplay that will run for the CD in Microsoft Windows 95 and above. Inserting the CD into your CD-ROM drive will automatically launch the main navigation window. If this window does not start up, you can manually open the main navigation screen by clicking on Anvil_CD.exe in the root directory of your CD drive. The scale bar itself, and the ratio scale to the left of the scale bar are correct for the extent shown on your screen. When a map is printed from ArcExplorer, the scale bar depicted on the page is also incorrect. These are bugs within ArcExplorer.
